Get well soon bro !! :( mama FB dekka ... oka aluth eye infection ekak menna wistara..tikak amaru hedunama.. den lankawe meka tikak pethirenawa ikmanata mama news wala ehuwa  Eye disease :- don't get panic says Health Ministry Friday, 06 August 2010 Additional Secretary to the Ministry of Health Dr. Palitha Maheepala stated that eye disease has spread in many parts of the country and the public should not panic about the eye disease. It is just an ordinary eye infection. He pointed out that reddening of eyes, smarting, tearing and oozing pus are the main symptoms and these days a large number of eye patients are undergoing treatment at the hospital , the infection is not a serious one. But if anyone has these symptoms he requests them to take immediate treatment as it is a disease due to a virus and it could be cured in over three days, he noted. The infection spreads through air conditioned rooms/buses and when a person touches a surface infected with the virus and then touches his/her eyes. People can protect themselves by avoiding staying in air conditioned rooms and buses with infected persons and not touching eyes with contaminated hands, he noted.. Hands get contaminated when a person touches a surface touched by an infected person. Therefore hands should be washed with soap before touching eyes/face, he added. News Source :- http://www.news.lk/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=16032&Itemid=44
