July witnesses highest monthly tourist arrivals so far this year: Tourism Earnings in Sri Lanka Surpass USD 800 Million in First Seven Months of 2023

Sri Lanka recorded 143, 039 tourist arrivals for July, the highest monthly arrivals recorded so far this year, the data released by Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority said.

For the first seven months of the year, Sri Lanka welcomed 767, 913 visitors, compared to 719, 978 recorded for the full year of 2022.

In July, India emerged as the top tourist traffic generator for Sri Lanka, accounting for 16 percent of the total arrivals.

Honestly if i'm a foreigner i won't travel to Sri Lanka Twise.After travelling to Thailand,Malaysia,Indonesia multiple times Sri Lanka comes in last.Even goa is better.Only thing good about SL is the beaches.But It all depends on where you coming from.Also air fare is high compared to similar countries to SL from North America and Europe.I think where we missed is entertainment industry.We only talk about nature and all these historical places there's no fun in SL.I mean there's not even proper night life in SL.Some might say we don't want something like that in here.Then don't expect young people to visit SL and spend big money.

Yeah they just visit SL to make it a bucket list tick.Sri Lanka doesn't provide what Rich travellers seek for.
