JVP ready to support Fonseka at a Presidential poll

Janath Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) parliamentarian K.D. Lalkantha today said that the JVP would be willing to extend support to Chief of Defense Staff General Sarath Fonseka if the General decides to put himself forward as a common candidate for the next presidential election.

A similar offer had also been made yesterday to the Chief of Defense Staff Sarath Fonseka by the new Sihala Urumaya party.
