Anybody watch yesterday news....i heard a news saying that in 30years the sea level around sri lanka will rise by 25ft.......& if that happens..the dehiwala beach will be viewble from maharagama......any idea....?

If it happens, there wont be Dehiwala at all. Maharagama will be a coastal city. There wont be a Colombo either.

it is true that the sea level is going up due to melting of ice in the poles, but the predictions of a rise of as high as 25 feet may be too much........... cuz if it would have been as fast as that( the rate of rising of water) for what they have predicted about seven years back the sea level would have been risen off the dehiwela beach areas to the railway satation by now.........
