Large scale agriculture kills millions of animals through habitat destruction and pesticide pollution. Humans have to clear forest en masse to provide food for the world, even in Sri lanka we see this. One of the main reasons for the decline of elephant population in this country is the expansion of farm land into forests. Pesticide used in agriculture gets mixed with the water system and kills thousands upon thousands of insects, frogs,  birds and small mammals. Don't think for a moment that just because you don't eat meat your are not killing animals. This planet has limited resources if we(humans) want to live we will have to kill others, that is how the game is played there is no escaping this.</blockquote>
