    Taken on a trip from Ceylon to Singapore during a stopover at Kuala Lumpur. Also view photo ID 332049. Built and delivered to launch customer BOAC, started the first trans-atlantic passenger service from London to New York on October 4, 1958 together with G-APDB. G-APDC was sold to Malaysian Airways in 1965, re-registered 9M-AOC and after merger with Singapore Airlines re-registered 9V-BAT. Sold to Dan Air in 1969, scrapped in April 1975. Airframe 106404 Mk4.

    those days our country used to be a rich country, our country was not a 3rd world nation, and as you see you can see what our country was capable of... Now its changed... but still some try to change Mother Lanka to look better.. Those types of planes even in 1970's makes us proud?
