This had become an important place during the war period at the regime of King Seetawaka Rajasinghe (1581-1592). The temple is located on the top of a mountain next to Balungala Rock. Some of the attraction of the site are;       Take a bus from Pettah to Kaduwela or Hanwella and get off from the Kaduwela junction.
