Korean Buddhists to provide houses for Kebithigollewa victims

Ven. Mujubi Thera of Korea has pledged to provide houses to families of those who died in the LTTE's claymore mine blast at Kebithigollewa targeting a civilian bus last year.

Ven.Mujubi Thera gave this assurance when he called on President Mahinda Rajapaksa at Temple Trees recently.

This initiative was taken by the Ven. Mujubi Thera upon a request made by Sri Lankarama Viharadhipathi of South Korea Ven.Manampitiye Aggadhamma Thera.

The Ven. Thera during his meeting with the President said he was very pleased with the present initiatives taken by President Rajapaksa to develop the country and bring lasting peace.

Ven. Mujubi Thera also said he would take the lead in correcting the misconceptions regarding Sri Lanka currently entertained by certain sect the ions of the international community.

Ven. Omalpe Sobitha Thera, the JHU General Secretary, Ven. Nagoda Amarawansa thera and the Chairman of South Korean Eye Net TV channel were also present.
