Liyanagama of the Sports Ministry has been transferred to the Export development Ministry with immediate effect.It is reported however that he is undecided on the acceptance of the new post.The Minister of sports and recreation answering inquiries confirmed that the appointment is true, but he has not turned up today (8) to work.Meanwhile at a media briefing today, SLFP (M) leader Mangala Samaraweera said, the Govt. is preparing to send Fonseka as an Ambassador.UNP National Organizer S.B. Dissanayake speaking at an interview with the ‘Sunday Lakbima’ stated after the war victory, the Govt. sent Army Gen. on pension hastily when he was preparing to meet the parents, widows and children of the soldiers who died in the battlefield with the aim of comforting and wishing them well. The Govt. has now pushed him into the drain, he added.      It is also learnt that the cutout of Sarath Fonseka which was displayed at the Army Exhibition to mark the 60th Army anniversary, now currently on at the BMICH was removed, and President Rajapkse’s cutout was put in its place.
