The advertisement, taken out to explain the crisis at Golden Key where its customer base has been called for a meeting at 2 pm on Tuesday to provide a company view on what is going on, gives the pictures of 16 directors or deputy chairman headlined “Chairpersons – Ceylinco Consolidated.” Officials at the Colombo Stock Exchange said they were yet to be informed of changes in the directorate.Kotelawala said he will remain as mentor-founder of the Group. He said Ceylinco has been around since 1939 and “we do not run away from our obligations to those who have placed their faith and trust in us.”Last week there was a run on Golden Key credit card deposits forcing the company to halt payments and call an urgent meeting.
