The accused was identified as Hayarullah, 24, hailing from Colombo.The police said that he had arrived in Thampanoor in October last year and duped the persons by promising them jobs in Seychelles, an island nation near Maldives. His modus operandi was to invite the candidates for jobs through wall-posters. He had levied INR 70,000 each from his victims for visas to Seychelles, while any Indian citizen having a passport can avail the visa at the cost of just INR 600.The police had produced a look-out notice in his name, including his passport number, after a case was registered with the Thampanoor police following complaints. Based on this look-out notice, Hayarullah was held at the Mumbai airport the other day by the authorities there when he landed there on a flight from Malaysia.The City Police were immediately informed, following which, a team of police led by Thampanoor SI R. Prakash reached Mumbai and brought him back to the city.</blockquote>
