Well I personally think that's not entirely true, because right now what world need more than anything else is oil... there's a oil crisis out there.. and a lot of demand too... so 60% is more than enough to invest on such a business!

Right now, "what if we find" has a greater value than what if we don't..

I think we discussed about this in EK sometime back!

Anyway... I think if there are oil deposits in SL coastal belt.. then THIS IS SRI LANKA'S BIGGEST BREAKTHROUGH and the long shot at success!!

But alas, it all depends on the planning of the govt. in my personal opinion what we should do is make a long term plan, to acquire their knowledge and expertize while working with them...then slowly after sometime turn it into a fully Sri Lankan owned company!!

And if we wait all the time until they dig the oil for us.. Sri Lankans will never get what they deserve! Especially by these cunning Indians and Chinese!

Well that's a very hard question to answer because it covers so many aspects!

But one thing for sure, whether you are good or bad.... i guess you will always inherit what your parents inherited from their parents right? and there's no stopping that either!

So its is there for you to reap the success but depends on how well you planning to do that...like Lord Buddha said.. you are accountable for your own doings no one else!

Overall I think, Yes! people's attitudes should change but you can't really blame it all on people as well.. we are having a WAR for nearly 3 decades now..people are mentally down, depressed! Can they go to thier workplace and work with a peace of mind? So current situation as I see it is a collection of effects through out Sri Lankan history!

I sincerely hope that, after the WAR (assume that it will be over soon) Sri Lanka will rise like a phoenix rising from the ashes!!! ;)
