Message: <blockquote data-quote="ahamednishadh" data-source="post: 7497433" data-attributes="member: 4368">good thread for a discussion altho i wont b able to participate much due to my exams these days..n e way, my answer is no.. it shudnt b closed.. i mean... there are private schools that have been there for the past 100 or more years... i go to a private skool that is more than 150 yrs old!!!anika, im nt saying that govt skools are bad, but altho im going to a private skool, both my sisters go to govt skools!! and i personally know hw bad the skools are... and specially da quality of education... i mean, there was a teach in one of my sisters skool who used to come to class and for 8 whole months never did a single lesson. reason was that she was demoted from being a teacher in the middle skool to the lower skool... imagine.. 8 months not a single lesson was done.. and the principal altho the parents complain did nothing!! ive got 100's of other stories in my personal experience... to c, my parents have never made a single complaint in my skool saying work is not done... and also... i wud say that these ppl going to govt universities, listening to these JVP buggers are actually off their head...  they shud first ask themselves if they actually are learning or not... i mean, if they are learning, where in the bloody world are they finding time to come and do protests and sathyagraha's and all da other bullshits!! i seriously wonder how many of those student leaders actually pass their exams and get a degree... its only those who do jst degree's after their AL's that shout like these.. ever seen ppl doing PHD's and Masters and stuff going for protests??at least it was very good to hear the new higher education minister S.B.Dissanayake saying that we shud open up private universities... im seriously saying that if he actually opens up at least 1 private university and successfully runs it, then he is a man worth some praise!!!all those who say private skool's are bad.. all i wud say is, first go to a private skool, then talk!!! at least go to a govt skool like Royal College, Carey College which are the only schools i would say are actually schools that provide good education and the standards are as same as in a private skool!!!</blockquote>
