what type of work you are planning to do with computer.I can buy better laptop with external portable hard drive.If you are travelling much, better to have laptop.Some people using both (I have 2 desktops and 1 laptop)Its upto your requirment and the finanacial situation etc.Think twice about configuration and some other general requirements before you buy.good luck
ya..depends on the requrements.....if u want to use it in work place or uni....if u want to use mobile broadband....depends....

Because now I'm in Dubai. I have a desktop in Sri Lanka. So that I like to go for a laptop. But the thing is, can I use it for hard work? Like CD burning, editing, gaming ect.?

Think about processor, screen size (widescreen better) VGA, Average Hard Disk (buy additional portable hard disk too) DVD reader/writer, Digital Media (Multiple Card reader), good wireless mouse (if u r not familiar with touch pad), Cool headset, Go for the best and the highest as u can.terrencekpeiris said:
