The discussion is about the killing of a journalist and not about war. It is true that in a war that innocent sometimes become victims and get killed. It is a sad and unwanted thing. Be it a Sinhala, Tamil, Muslim or any other division you may call it, it is Sri Lankan lives. Just because someone has a different view point that does not mean that they are not patriotic. I was a JVP sympathizer during the 1980’s and in my own way voiced the injustice caused by the then government, police and armed forces against the poor and sometimes illiterate village boys in the deep south. That does not make me a JVP member. I never was and never will be. But it is important to highlight the wrong doings and injustice that a government may be engaged as it is the sovereign right of the citizens to criticize the government they elect. We can’t individually do the criticism, it culminates and get directed by the journalist who are likeminded and who is willing to take the risk in blowing the Wiesel. That is what the public wants from such a journalist. My friends, if you can’t understand that, I feel sorry for you. As you get older you may get wiser and perhaps have a different view from what you have now (negative to my thoughts)[/FONT]</blockquote>
