Epson has a ink tank printer and use pigment ink. Then it won't smudge and better looking than lazier. But I know a person who bought a normal Epson ink tank printer and use pigment Chinese ink from the beginning and work as hell. Pigment ink is waterproof. Since you have not said your purpose (whether it is for business or print children stuff) I cannot tell you a proper answer.But if you sparingly take colour printouts do not buy a colour printer.
