I've previously asked you a question about the authenticity about translations of Quran..

No point running away from that thread and asking the same question here!

Here's the link.. I'm expecting an answer!

well firstly on the translations part. They are all 99 percent the same ! The one percent that differs is only vague and has no drastic effect on the eventual message trying to be conveyed. The reasons for many translations is because Arabic is a very rich language .For example there are i think 9 words for farmers . one who plants the seeds another one for the one that sows them , another one for the one that waters them and so forth. So what happens is when people transliterating them we have translations in many different styles of language (colloquial, classical, modern, simplistic) etc. depending on who translated it, but none of them convey a different message or meaning. They are the same.

Now there are a few self proclaimed experts of the arabic language who try to translate and twist meanings so as to appease to the western audiences but they have been technically proven wrong !

Secondly the issue of marrying a 9 year old. Well in Islam , a girl is considered a woman when she starts having a period and a boy is considered a man when he is able to produce sperm. This is the partitioning. They are held accountable for all the actions and deeds after this point of time. If you are considering by todays standards then in some countries it is 15 14 and even 12 ! Canada is 16 i guess , which means to say if a 16 year old is not yet a woman and has sex then thats completely fine !!! Man made laws, the irony ! Some of our greatgrandmothers and grandmothers would have got married off as soon as they hit puberty. If you were to ask them to compare the 15 year olds then and the 15 year old now , the women (and men for that matter)of times before were far ahead in terms of maturity and being adults so you can imagine the 9 year olds of 1400 years ago.

But then these are all peripheral issues derived from 'our' perception of whats right and whats wrong.I guess we should really ask 'who' determines whats right and whats wrong. Thats what it eventually comes down to.

then people who practise it must be martians.  Learn your religion well or Please go n participate in comedy star programme

She has her rights to get converted. If she feels so she can get converted. Why you bother about her decisions. A religion which offer equality is better that a religion which gives hell 2 all the women:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Well your right , Islam has no compulsion in religion. I dont think she was spiritually muslim in the first place. She might have been 'culturally' muslim because that was the background of her parents but that doesnt make her muslim. If that missionary priest who was brainwashing her over the net managed to convince her thats fine.

If you study the religion and wholeheartedly accept Islam because you truly beleive in it and its articles of Faith and you are accepting it purely on the evidence from Quran and sunnah , then you are muslim ! Not becase you are following because everyone else is following it , or ur parents are , or it will give you good business ! If you really choose to become wholehearted muslim then you are making a covenant with God and yes the price of leaving that or abandoning that is punishable by death in sslam! This is the value we place on that testament ! It is no light matter to enter and leave whenever you please ! Many people who embrace Islam know of this before they accept Islam , that if they leave it is punishable by death Yet more people are becoming muslim and ironically most of them women from the west !
