Attempting toavoid such challenges is nothing else but capitulating to separatistterrorism and betraying the state of Sri Lanka .Separatist terrorism could be expected to act with more resolute in year2007. This is in view of the fact that Velupillai Piribaharan, in hisinfamous 'mahaweera' speech, appealed for support from the so-calledinternational community for his pseudo 'liberation struggle' and withthe completion of five years for the treacherous ceasefire agreement onthe 22nd February, 2007, an opportunity may arise where the semidiplomatic status the tiger terrorists obtained could elevated to thatof de facto status. The challenges from foreign forces, friendly toseparatist tiger terrorism, against the State of Sri Lanka too could beexpected to be heightened. We emphasize that the year 2007 should bemade the year to rally the whole Nation against separatism, which hasmany faces and threaten Motherland on various fronts, as Sri Lankacannot progress without such a confrontation.Also, the pre-condition of the struggle to build Sri Lanka as a countrywith social justice and strong economy is defeating separatist terrorismwhich divides and weakens Sri Lankan Nation. Challenges come one afteranother. JVP would never avoid such challenges.
