Linux Help to configure ADSL modem

I have Repotec ADSL modem which support only for win.. (driver CD).. I want to make it configured to UBUNTU linux.... The brand is REPOTEC ADSL modem (model - RP-MO056) it uses Conexant Access Runner driver in xp

Machan u dnt hav to install anything. there is a command/script already installed in ubuntu starting with ppp... (pppoeconfig or something) Just on the terminal type "ppp" and hit tab.

The script is very simple just enter the user name and password and enter for things u dnt know which will set the default setting

I setup y dialog broadband connection using this and i'm sure its same for ADSL. I'll giv u specific details if u want when I'm logged from ubuntu.

My last post is valid if ur modem has a ethernet interface. If so this is all you need...

It works for me....

If it has a USB then I don't know. There is a command "wvdial" I used that to work HSDPA modem maybe that'll work search for that in ubuntu forums.

Its an USB one so doesn't identified by UBUNTU
