Looking for old Rupavahini theme song
Hai guyz
I am looking for the song that Rupavahini used to play for its station opening (vikarshana arambaya) many years ago (during the 1980 and 1990s).
Unfortunately I don't know the name of it, but I remember it used to be sung by a choir of young sounding voices.
Some of the words I remember are
"Eka amma'gen kiri biu api sema... kiri biu api sema
eka leya aethi (something)sura wiruwooo "
"Pansal, kovil, palli giyath api
ekama piyaa'ge doo daruwoooo"
"Lanka pawule doo daruwo"
Lankaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa....... doo daruwooooooooooooo"
And it ended with the opening line (just tune) of the national anthem and a picture of the SL flag waving.
It had scenes of perahara and various religious places and all locations of Sri Lanka also. I don't even know why they stopped using that, because it was so nice.
Please if anybody knows the name of the song, or any details about it or (by any chance) can upload it, would really appreciate! I'm sure many of you who were watching TV back in those days will remember the song if you think back. Thanks!
