Something similar happened to me and my wife few years back at Cargills Food City Kiribathgoda Car-park. Some one broke the quarter glass just like this and took my wife's handbag along with her passport and 15 thounsand money in cash. Same thing and Cargills did not take the responsibility of the theft.

A car is considered personal property of the owner. Also, every car park very prominently display or atleast in the issue ticket states that they are not responsible for any damages or thefts.

So.... you technically cannot sue the Hospital / parking attendants or the operating company.

However, you CAN lodge a complain that enough security is not provided and make sure atleast another guy doesn't fall into the same trouble as you.

this car park is on the 2nd floor of the hospital . no security cameras are provided by the hospital which is a fault by hospital , and there r no boards displaying wht u mention. breaking a glass and opening a door is a serious crime according to police so the management jst cant leave it simply
