LPG cylinders ......Expiry Date
Have u ever heard about a LPG cylinder's expiry date? I also didn't know.
How to find a LPG cylinder's expiry date?
This is very vital information.
Most of us do not know this. I came to know only today from the gas
stockiest, because there was one accident occurred in the neighborhood.
Do you know that there is a physical lifetime for all LPG cylinders?
Expired Cylinders are not safe to use, and may cause accidents.
Please be cautious at the time of accepting any LPG cylinder from the
vendor.
Here is how you can check the expiry date of LPG cylinders:
On one of the three side stems on the top side of the cylinder, the expiry
date is coded alpha-numerically as follows: A , B, C or D , followed by some
two digit number. e.g. D06.
The alpha characters stand for the 4 quarters of the year-
A for March (First Qtr),
B for June (Second Qtr),
C for Sept (Third Qtr), &
D for December (Fourth Qtr).
The numerals stand for the year until the lifetime is valid. Hence D06
would mean that the cylinder will not be safe after December of 2006.
