Message: <blockquote data-quote="rapa" data-source="post: 1868413" data-attributes="member: 212">An Attempt by The LTTE to Bomb The Madhu Church With a View of Internationally Insulting The Armed ForcesIt is reported by the Security Forces that there is a sinister plan by the LTTE to bomb and blast the Madhu Church and other buildings in its precincts, the intention being to bring disrepute internationally, to the Armed Forces.A senior officer involved with operations in the area has reported to “Divaina” that already the LTTE has moved large amounts of ammunition and set up bombs in the Madhu Sacred area to cause harm to the area.By doing so the officer further stated that the LTTE was hoping to slow down as much as possible the operations being conducted by the Armed Forces in the Madhu area and also to cause considerable harm and loss to the soldiers involved in the area.The Armed Forces have been able to identify the fact that it is under the supervision and instructions of LTTE district organizer Gopin and nearly 40 odd LTTE terrorists hiding in the area that this operation of planting explosives in the area is being implemented.The Security Forces have also stated that during a period of a couple of weeks during the recent past, the LTTE terrorists have been forcibly taking over houses belonging to civilians living in the nearby areas which are in the “uncleared areas” which come under LTTE control.These facts have been disclosed by an LTTE member from Mannar district who fled from their grip and sought protection of the Security Forces when he was interrogated and questioned.By conducting such explosions and destroying the Madhu Church, the LTTE was hoping to carry out a mass scale propaganda campaign internationally against the Security Forces, it was disclosed by a senior official of the Security Forces.</blockquote>
