All hypes and myths about Apple being the most secure OS, or at least being the last OS to be hacked may have been busted by Charlie Miller on Thursday when he managed to hack an Apple MacBoock Air for 2 minutes flat during the CanSecWest security conference's PWN 2 OWN hacking contest.

Why wouldn't Microsoft start a contest like this, not to hack into their systems, but to hack into Apple and Linux systems, and hire his services in developing viruses (in secret of course) so that they screw up Apple and Linux systems? :D

    Are you sure?

    Read that article.. :)

OSs are anyway safer most of the time now. You can rarely search for an exploit in an OS. All the exploits are in the softwares installed in em'

Hence it's possible for many 0 day attacks.

Anyway read the article.. Don't know whether they've hacked the Vista beast!

cooool nw apple will try some more new stuff

Just a small patch would do the trick machang :) No big hassle.

Microsoft also accepts user bug reports as such. And that's why they release patches from time to time with improvements. ;)

    Hehe........Windows Fanboys....

I use both OS X & vista . As network admin i can say vista have some holes that can bypass OS firewall(most of them fixed now).hacking OS X is bit hard work compared to windows:yes:

Well.. you must be using both as well as heard about both.

Not as a Network Admin but as a InfoSec professional I know MS keep on updating and releasing security patches. hence people rarely can hack into Vista machines.

People isn't interested in hacking into OS X the much that people like to hack Windows. That's a common fact. Because the benefit is less. What will I get if I hack into your OS X machine? But what will I get if I hack into Bill Gates' Vista?:lol::lol:

So more potential is on Vista so more people do try to hack vista.

More effort = more success rate.

Anyway again.. OS is not the place where you get exploits most of the time. They're on the applications installed. Through an exploit only you can find a hole in the OS
