    ow machoo...mage CMOS eke settings wenas wenawa ban...machan mama wenanas karala baluwa eth hari yanne...na...dan mama CD ROM eka galawala gahuwa...ethkota HD eka gathhha...aphu dammmama aphu wada karai da danne na.....:(:(

    No Machan it can't be virus coz Viruses cannot go to the CMOS it's a chip that has a Firmware in it....don't you dare mess with it coz....in the end No power thamai!The CMOS RAM in which PC system information is stored and backed up
    by batteries is accessible through the I/O ports and not directly
    addressable. That is, in order to read its contents you have to use I/O
    instructions rather than standard memory addressing techniques..... get it so viruses cannot get there and also there is no executable inside the CMOS it's writting on the address lines on the Chip....

    1. Change the cmos Battery.
    2. Don't use one IDE cable for both CDROM and HDD. use a separate one for CDROM
    3. check boot up sequence and correct if necessary. save settings and exit.
    4. if your problem continues go to a qualified technician.

    now thing is i have only one....IDE cable jack???so wht should i do????:nerd:
