    Dont you think as the Premier of the country he should have looked at it more carefully?

    My personal opinoin.. he made a blackmark there which he does carry up to date and has been one of the main factors of his defeats in elections up to date! People understood that his vision is questionable!

    Its time for him to give up now..there are lot of talented people still in UNP the county's most historically rich party....when are they ever gonna come out?

    About the state TV :lol: lets be realistic here... why do they call state TV in the 1st place? :lol: do you honestly believe if UNP comes to power tomorrow state TV will be any different than today? Has it ever been?

    Running a govt. is a part marketing... just because Sri Lanka's most used laundry soap is Sunlight, do they ever stop marketing the product?people need to know its there and people need to know its in action... marketing is required for any govt. and what other media to use than state sponsored media?:lol:

    But why Ranil always on the firing line? I think most of the time he calls it upon himself.. why is he always giving opportunities for the govt. to exploit? Take note that most of the time it is his actions that brings him down... Do you have to call "Thoppigala is just a jungle" and now what what happened? He himself had to go for his election campaign there right? So why is he so short sighted? when ARMY liberated Thoppigala he should have seen what's coming next is an election and prepare his party for that!! So again he proves his leadership qualities are bad!

    Govt. will happily take every chance they can find to sling some mud shot! So why give the chance in the 1st place?

    Futher more comparing with other Sri Lankan's leaders we had on past ............

    He does more with a balance. Remember we have war. And that isn't cheap. It cost us hell of lot of money. Lets wish our governmaent and Defence Forces all the best. We need this bloody war to be finish soon as possible.

    Then we can address these questions.

    Well if that's the case....dont you think India has more important things to do than developing Nuclear Weapons while its people dying of hunger and malnutrition!

    According to 2008 estimate India's population 1,132,446,000, and according to reports 27.5% of whole population is living below the poverty line which accounts for about roughly 300 million :shocked: :baffled:

    That's like roughly 15 times Sri Lanka's whole population! :rolleyes:

    So think again!

    but it is the global trend.India doesnt want to be an exception I think.And even when Pakisthan is doin the same how come they dont.:rolleyes: they do have a boarder line to protect huh?;) and now please dont say that MR is letting 90%(not official staistics);) of his people starve bcz he too is having a country to protect.:P Its a different story here.
