Even people in the UK protested against high gas prices. But poeple in those countries have a good income. It's more than sufficient. Everyone protests when prices are increased. It's just a matter of whether they can adapt to it. Sadly people here can't. They are burdened with high gas prices, High cost of living and low income. Yeah you are right, we are not the worst country. But that's not something we should be happy about.

To know what is GDP/GNP, use Yahoo. Even O/L commerce students know it. You are taught what it is in your social studies class. So don't give lame excuses, or play the "I don't know that" part. And pleae don't insult the SL public. 80% of people aged 20-45 have learnt up to O/L, and at least half of them will know what is "Dala jaathika nishpadithaya / eka pudgala aadayama" or at least have a sense of it.
