OEM will only accept serials from OEM PCs (HP, eMachines, Dell, Gateway, Toshiba, any computer from a manufacturer), not retail serials (I.E. if you bought Retail from newegg.com or Wal-Mart to put on a PC you built, or a PC to upgrade, something like that).
