basically MCSD has divided into 3 categories windows apps web apss and ALM.so all those use VS2012 platform with new features like HTML5 CSS3 , MVC 4. ALM is another side basically targetting on TFS and sharepoint stuff to control the life cycle of application like version controlling stuff
so better do the updated version even you do .net 3.5
