There were leaked out information that this is possible with doctored bacteriums. Not exactly Zombies but sort of mind control. I don't want to spread rumours.

But these can be put to good use too - mainly medical. Even at present there are nano robots (basically a nanomotor) that have cutter blades and can be used to clear the blockages in arteries. But still unsolved is how to extract what's being cut.
Once these are sorted out there will be a new era of surgery.

Something biological like this might be of better use, like transporting drugs to specific organs. Also it will self destruct after a specific time period.
