(if u do answer yes then i dono in what logic u r givin that answer) the government jst raised the tax by that amount to increase their revenue and dont really seem to care abt stopin the consumption . hence the  promises they gave stating the slogan "mathata thithak" has been erased from their agenda. and back to the topic abt gambling . the government directly has given permission to open a gambling district by passing the new bill. a main MP in the UPFa thilanga sumathipala is the owner of a leading race bookie and it is hard to assume that the gambling act was pretty much in favor of him . and to point out further more the government when asking for votes stated of a "dharma rajaya" which means a law full government in accordance to Buddhism . and in Buddhism it clearly states that gambling is an unlawful business. and here is the government supporting it fully . is this correct? is this what the current government promised? u say that this casino region is for tourists only yet jst think abt it arent sri laknans goin to enter this region? isnt makin money out of gambling unlawful under the teachings of lord buddha and if so isnt it wrong to call this a dharma rajaya if such acts r carryed out under the well wishers of the government? and one more thin u said that not all the casinos in sl were brought up after the curent government . yes that is true . but the government has the power to cancell their licenses . y cant the government do that. if they truely want to make this a so called dharma rajaya? y is the government turning a blind eye towards all of this and lookin in to blocking porn sites in sl when there definitely seems to b more work that should b done to devopol the country ? y r they tryin to arrest the women who r shown in the videos while the guys who videoed them r left without ant obligations when truely they r da ones who have done sumtin wrong? (sorry if i went off track but i jst wanted to explain how the government is stepin out of track ) futher more u say that people should hav the control to not gamble and that the government isnt pushin people in to casinos yet people rnt perfect and they r easyly attracted to things lik this that is y they r restricted . many countries hav responsible gambling acts. which is not present in our country. (but that is in countries where gambling is not recognized as  bad) So if the government directly supports gambling then it is directly responsible for the damage it causes to society. if i am wrong correct me !</blockquote>
