Minister Mevin Silva is the MOST efficient politician in sri lanka.....go to his district.....he has done EVERYTHING for them....and if you bad mouth him there....the people who beat you up and not underworlds but average sri lankans he has taken under his wing....Do you know the reason he is disliked...its because of the maharaja group....they are SO anti-government that people who there are not safe....i know a class mate who had worked there....a Tamil person, he has foreseen the shifting of the whole sirasa, mtv etc new crew etc, to their new branches.....and just because this person spoke for the govt with his colleagues....they had told him they would press sexual harassment case against him unless he quit....true story...believe me....A similar thing happened to Dr.Sameera de alwis there...Mervin Silva is the only minster who stood for these people....he has heard their stories....and so he HATES the maharaja group...and they try to discredit him....dat is why he go berserk around them and other media ppl....like i said look at the districts under him...and you will understand....</blockquote>
