Minister Mervin Silva says that he will resign from his parliamentary seat to offer the position to the Defense secretary Gotabhaya Rajapakse.
Minister Mervin Silva said addressing a function held in Kiribathgoda yesterday that Defense Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapakse should be offered a parliamentary seat as a tribute for his service rendered to defeat terrorism totally that had been a curse to the country for thirty years.
This function was held in Kiribathgoda town.
