The attempt of rescue him taken by DWLC officers in Galgamuwa was unsuccessful due to protest of 40 to 50 drunken villages. They proposed they not need to be release this animal in this area because of he is habituate crop raider and damage to several houses. DWLC -Galgamuwa also not reserved any support from Abanpola police station to control situation (because of the policeman previously arrested due to electrified two elephants attached to Abanpola police station). The people from the area not allowed to give food to this elephants and he was staved two days. If some thing not happen today probably we lost this elephant.
