Microsoft announces Windows 365, a subscription based cloud PC service for business and enterprise.

Microsoft is putting Windows in the cloud. Windows 365 is a new service that will let businesses access Cloud PCs from anywhere, streaming a version of Windows 10 or Windows 11 in a web browser. While virtualization and remote access to PCs has existed for more than a decade, Microsoft is betting on Windows 365 to offer Cloud PCs to businesses just as they shift toward a mix of office and remote work.

Windows 365 will work on any modern web browser or through Microsoft’s Remote Desktop app, allowing users to access their Cloud PC from a variety of devices. “Windows 365 provides an instant-on boot experience,” according to Wangui McKelvey, a general manager for Microsoft 365. This instant access lets workers stream their Windows session with all of their same apps, tools, data, and settings across Macs, iPads, Linux machines, and Android devices. “You can pick up right where you left off, because the state of your Cloud PC remains the same, even when you switch devices,”.

    As my best guess
you need an operating system to run this Cloud base OS so windows never just vanish

If Microsoft somehow manage a way to boot up a PC witch connect to the internet and have this Cloud os run as a layer then your statement is valid
Your understanding seems to be correct. They are just trying to allow people to use Windows on some browser regardless of what the PC you are using. So you can have a Mac but you can just use your browser to access your Cloud PC.

I think it's more than that machan. I made my statement without looking at it properly.
    - This is like we have a One PC to do our all works. you can just close 360 at your office and at home you can just reopen where you left off
    - we are talking about Cloud so the Net speed is more than 2 GBPS up and 1GBPS witch we cannot imagine yet but daily available to our 360 PC
    - and imagine you need more memory or More CPU power admin can give you more of those. this is so fascinating

I think most companies will start this because all they need to give employee is a very low end PC witch can run that app or just install the app in-home PC witch is 0 cost
