As the first stem in the distribution of Sandun saplings to over 83000 temples, Environment and Natural Resources Minister Champika Ranawaka planted a Sandun sapling at the Ministry premises in Battaramulla with the participation of JHU MP Ven. Udawaththe Nanda Thera and officials of the Ministry, the State Timber Corporation and Wild Life Department.
