A man who went missing nearly two months ago from Tissaharama was found murdered and his body dumped in a wooded area at Weerawila in the Deep South, police said today.
They said the victim, L. Dharamadasa, 43, went missing along with his motorcycle on January 21, according to a complaint made to police by his wife.
The highly decomposed corpse was found along with the motorcycle in a location situated between an air force camp and an open prison camp yesterday evening, police said.
The man was recognized by his clothes and the motorcycle, police added.
The Weerawila Police are conducting further investigations.
