Well you wouldn't drive a bus in SL even if you starved right? Not sure if you know that local bus drivers earn more than what someone in the gov sector would do.

But when you guys go abroad you are ok with driving buses. Why is that? because the passengers are posh/suddas or something ?

Typical SL mindset I would say
