Message: <blockquote data-quote="foxhill2day" data-source="post: 10497006" data-attributes="member: 1596">A well known businessman in Kurunegala was killed and a husband and wife doctor couple were injured in a road accident that happened early yesterday morning along the Kurunegala – Kandy main road at Teliyagonna area. The luxury vehicle that the businessman was traveling in had gone off the road knocking down a high tension power line and then turned turtle after crashing onto a nearby house.The businessman killed in the accident had been identified as Namal Gamage (48) the owner of the Paramount hotel group in Kurunegala. The members of the house have escaped the impact of the accident.The injured doctors were travelling back home after their work in the Kurunegala teaching hospital. They had stopped their vehicle to watch this incident when the high tension power line fell on the vehicle damaging the rear portion of the vehicle.Many accidents at this location have been reported due to the sharp bend on the road.
