Minister of Tourism Nandana Gunatilleke who resigned from NFF and its National Organizer Kamal Deshapriya when they met their party members in Kalutara area have talked about an Army coup that could take place in the future.

Addressing party members Minister Nandana Gunatileke has said Gen. Sarath Fonseka might contest the presidential election and if he comes to power there could be a military government like in Bangladesh, Pakistan and Myanmar. He has also said even if Gen. Sarath Fonseka contested the presidential election President Mahinda Rajapakse could win easily. However, there could be an Army coup he had warned.

At the meeting Minister Nandana Gunatileke has severely criticized Mr. Wimal Weerawansa and has asked the party members to reject him as their leader. He had said Mr. Weerawansa was a very egoistic person and an opportunist who would bow down to any low level to fulfill his interests.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that Mr. Nandana Gunatileke would join the SLFP soon and the President is prepared to appoint him as the SLFP organizer for Panadura electorate after removing Mr. Reginald Cooray from that post.
