Australia has several native animals, reptiles and aquatic life which can be deadly to man. The Crocodile is one of the most dangerous in that it can kill its prey on land, in creeks, rivers and the ocean. Since the protection act in Australia has been introduced, our native population of crocodiles is slowly starting to increase again. This has also caused an increase in the size and
appetite of the crocodiles. They don’t fear man and will eat anything from dog, goat, cattle, kangaroo and even man. This is a very highly skilled hunter and being in or near the water which he lives is dangerous. Even though the authorities sign post places where you should not swim or camp, tourist still neglect these warnings and sometimes end up as dinner for the crocodile.
