Nations Trust Increases Loan Eligibility Criteria!

This bank is turning out to be a disappointment. I feel they are struggling a lot with the current economic situation.

They have increased the minimum salary eligibility for both personal and home loans to 500,000/- (It was 75,000 and then 150,000 later 250,000)

Also, last month they cut down all the installment offers from their Amex cards.
Even reduced the limits drastically to some users.

No banks in Sri Lanka will collapse. No need to panic but my worry is that this bank always changes their policies.

I regret building a private banking level relationship with this bank

Lol, those who make LKR 0.5m or more know better to not deal with shitty banks put together like NTB. Their maximum loan amount is 5m too, which is an embarrassment by itself.

and the same idiots have launched a new update to their banking app and now people are unable to use it at all. it simply tells the device is not secure when you try to open the app.

as per them, this is affecting Samsung, Redmi, Oneplus, and a few other brands... they also mentioned something about the device not being registered with TRCSL ..

I think this is relate to the Android OS , Jetpack compose update. Even with a blank Jetpack compose app , it shows a security causion.

Yeah .. frist they started blaming the device not being registered with TRCSL, and then when it's not the case they accepted that it is affecting other brands too.

lets say it happens only for the devices not registered with TRCSL, can the bank decide which mobile phone a person can or cannot use? when I questioned who gave the bank authority or instruction to do like that, that's when they changed the track and said it's a bug.

I'm using a OnePlus device running Pixel Experience custom rom. Not rooted though.
I've used their Nations Direct beta version app and now updated to their official app to it's latest.
Nothing happened to me. No errors or warnings or anything!!
