For ureteric compression if it cause obstruction normally urologist will put a DJ stent depending on extent of the compression. That's not a definitive treatment. It would prevent further kidney damage by reliving obstruction. So the problem is not with the ureters noh? Problem is with the pelvic vicera causing the obstruction.
