I've got fed up with this Intel Integrated Graphics chip. I need some real power. I'm looking for a Geforce 7600GT 256MB or a better card.

EPSI had a card (ASUS EN7600GT SILENT...) and it can handle every game up to 1600x1200 very well. But they sell that card for Rs.25,000, and just like anything else, it also it overpriced (US price about $159). BTW. they price their Geforce 7900GTX 512MB for Rs.71,000 and Radeon X1900XTX 512MB for Rs.68,000.

Mind you that the 7600GT is the lowest that I would go for. Anything better, at a reasonable price would be the best. The possible candidates are,

1. Geforce 7900GS 256MB (USA Price $199)
2. Radeon 1900GT 256MB (USA Price $199)
3. Geforce 7900GT 256MB (USA Price $299)
4. Radeon 1900XT 256MB version (USA price $259)

Those cards are arranged in descending order of performance (i.e. 7900GS is the slowest). However, I prefer the nVidia cards because nVidia's PureVideo technology is a great feature. But both of those Radeon cards outperform the corresponding nVidia card in games, but also run a bit hotter.

If anyone of you know a place where I can find those cards (at least one of them and in any brand) other than at EPSI (= for a cheaper price), please let me know. I can spend quite a lot of money, but I'm not willing to get what I need at any price they sell them at.

Not much informative though, because that's where everyone looks for first. I need input specifically from someone who've seen one of those cards or better yet, bought one of them recently.

What happened to your ATI card? You had one right?

The ATI card is what I bought in the end. It was dirt cheap because the made a mistake :D

And that's the card I'm playing Crysis on. Haha! For a card built in 2004, it does perform really well. I'm playing Crysis at 1024x768 (had to do this because I wanted the shadows), low shaders and textures, very high object details, physics, post processing, game effects, volumetric effects, sounds an NO AA. Did it by editing the config files. Of course the SM3 and DX10 specific features are not working (such as HDR, shadow jittering etc. :() I'm getting 20-30fps. If I turn off the shadows, I can play at 1280x1024 at the same fps.

Yeah, lol. And you (sri_lion) really think I would buy any of these cards after seeing the image quality DX10 cards give in Crysis? It is out of this world!!!
