Sorry guyz. Im bit late on the discussion. Im also a bike lover.

My recommendation on Indian bikes among (150-200cc segment)::
    1. Honda Unicorn
    2. Hero Honda Hunk/CBZ Extream
    3. Apache RTR
    4. Pulsar 180

Honda Unicorn is the best bike manufactured in India by Japan Honda team. It's still new in Sri Lanka. It does petrol average 50-60Kmpl while having amazing acceleration. And its coming with rear MONO SHOCK which is very comfortable and which is not coming with any other indian bike. And it has the most smooth Engine and gearbox. You dont hear the engine sound when you ride. And no gear shifting problem which is there in all other Indian bikes. Excellent riding position and recommended for long rides. Maximum speed 115Kmph. I own this bike and honestly Im more than satisfied with this bike.

Hunk & extream are also good bikes manufactured India. Hunk has bit improved engine of Extream. Mileage is around 40-48Kmpl. Excellent look. But suffering with usual Indian bike's tight gear box. Good quality, reliable bikes. Maximum speed 115Kmph. you can have high speed since no engine vibration.

Apache is also good looking bike. Its the bike having best pickup. It's gear ratios are different to others and you get a amazing pickup. Mileage may be 40-55Kmpl. Racing riding position. Front tire is a broader one compared to others. Gearbox sucks as usual Indian bike.

    http://www.betterfield.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/04/pulsar_180_dtsi-460x288.jpg

Pulsar 180 is the most famous most comman bike in the road. It's still in the 1st place on the look. Good bike for the price. Mileage 40-55Kmpl. Comfortable, good pickup and bad gearbox. Not a durable bike. Quality is a problem.

If you need more power, Karizma is the best. Its 223cc capacity. Good quality, handling, reliable bike with mileage 30Kmpl. And you can have maximum speed 130Kmph.
But compared to 150cc bikes, Karizma gives only 15Kmph speed more. And 15-25Km less per petrol litre. And even Karizma is 223cc, its initial pickup is less. And where you ride it on 130Kmph in SL??

And I don't recommend pulsar 220 since it has lots of problem in gearbox, digital console, front shoks, design, brakes.....etc

If Mileage is not a problem and you have money. Go for a Honda Hornet 250cc. There is nothing to think twice of that bike. ;)

    Hope this helps.
