Need help in finding some info!!!! Plz help!

Im doing this project about Ubuntu. In one point of the sssignment they have asked like this

System software requirements for chosen operating system. eg:- kernels, shells, X Windows GUI and any other application software requirements.


They have asked for Hardware Requirements next. So this is not to do with any hardware stuff i guess.

Does anybody have any idea what this is about???

Went through the IEEE. But there are no papers on Ubuntu which are suitable to you.
