Need Help With XP...

Absolutely No Idea..!!
Guyz need some help really quickly.
I have 3 partitions in my hard disk C:, E:, F:.
currently windows is installed in drive C:
I need to reinstall windows coz the pc has become a real mess.
can i install windows on one of the other drives without formating drive C:...??
for an instance if i install windows in drive D: without removing the windows installation on drive C: will it be a problem..??
Need Help fast..Thnx in advance...:D

you can install windows to another drive.
then it'll be a dual-boot system.

ahh...
that cant be done..
because some of the boot files..
are still in the drive C...
but can do it buy backing up..
those boot files..
but i dont know how do that..
sorryy....

No probs bro..But if i install a fresh copy of windows in drive d: then all the windows files shud be there ne..?? he'll see it as a RAW new drive :D :D :D
anyway thnx for helping...ela

No, even if you install to drive D:. the boot loader is in drive C:
if you format drive C: the boot loader will be erased so you wont be able to boot from drive D: (it happened to me once)

    no problems machan.. dekama usekarannath puluwan oninam.. ethakota boot weddi ahanawa mokenda boot karanne kiyala.. its called dual boot.. ehema nathnam C eke Windows folder eka delete karannath puluwan passe :D..

    u can format drive c after that even after logging into windows..
    but theres a one problem.. you will not be able to recover anything at your desktop or mydocument folders (incl. sub folders) from your other windows copy because that folders are restricted from other users than your account from the old windows XP installation :).. you can move them to root of the C:\ or to another partition :D

    bro, try to copy your files which R on C: to other partition & keep Windows in C Drive


    'cos Generally, OSs don't keep in other Partitions except Dual-OSs... ;)
