Terrorism in Sri Lanka – A treatise in the defence of Sri Lanka's sovereignty, unitary status and territorial integrity by S.M.J. Neangoda is now on sale.
This highly researched book deals with the subject of terrorism in Sri Lanka, which had cost the country over 60,000 lives and immense financial loss by way of destruction of property during the last two decades. The war on terrorism is bound to continue nationally and internationally but new strategies have to be evolved to deal with it based on an understanding of the truth. Misinformation had made the truth to elude us and grope in the dark when seeking a solution to the terrorist problem. Many of the arguments adduced to justify terrorism in the pursuit of a separate state are carefully researched and analyzed and a balanced view provided, particularly for the benefit of the decision makers. The book provides food for thought for all Sri Lankans, whether they are Sinhalese, Tamils, Muslims or Burghers and make them search their conscious as to whether blood letting any further through terrorism is worth it.
