The present Govt. cultural Minister and NFF MP Piyasiri Wijenayake has bought a sprawling Palace at Centra watte, Gampaha for Rs. 15 million !
Wijenayaake has bought this Palace from a famous businessman Susan Kumara, Director of Daya Bros.
It is reported that in the sale, a double cab was also given for the balance cash. This cab was the vehicle No. PGB 0674, allegedly used for the murder of JVP member Nadana Balage. The Attanagalla Magistrate has given an order that neither a color change or a transfer can be effected on this cab.
It is worthy to note that Wijenayake was appointed as Minister just less than six months ago
