"New Year" kiyala damme...

It's the beginning of our (true Buddhists') New Year i.e. BE2552.

The 1st of January is After Christ, which is the New Year of Christians living around the world. April 13th was originally the New Year of Hindus' and later started to be celebrated as the Sinhala-Hindu New Year. For us, as true Buddhists, there's no importance in the Sun being transferred from 'Mina' to 'Mesha'.
